Two licences, and the difference between them is one question: will the people using the finished site be charged for access?
Regular licence
Covers one finished website. Use it for your own studio site, or hand it over to a client — a project you are paid to build is still one end product. What it does not cover is charging visitors to reach the site itself.
Extended licence
The same theme, for a site where end users pay: a membership area, a subscription product, a paid community. Still one finished website — the licence changes what you may charge for, not how many sites you may build.
What both include
- Every pattern, template and style variation in the theme
- The demo content, importable in one step
- Lifetime updates
- Six months of support, extendable
The theme itself is GPL
WordPress themes inherit the GPL, and this one is no exception: the PHP, HTML and CSS are free software. The licence you buy covers the bundled assets, the demo content and support — and it is what funds the work.
Questions we get asked
Can I use one licence for a staging site?
Yes. Staging, development and local copies of the same project are part of that one end product.
What happens when support runs out?
Nothing to the site. Updates keep arriving; only the ability to open a support ticket lapses, and it can be renewed.
Do I need a new licence for a redesign?
No. Rebuilding the same site with the same theme is still the same end product.
